Watershed and Credly Partner to Better Track and Develop In-Demand Skills

Watershed is excited to announce its partnership with the digital credentialing network Credly by Pearson to provide enhanced insights into how people develop knowledge, skills, and abilities.

“Skill data has never been more critical—which is why we’re excited to partner with Credly,” said Bill Conran, Head of Sales, Business Development & Strategy at Watershed.

“By integrating Watershed and Credly, users gain insights into how their people develop knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as analyze their recognized competencies and credentials.”

By connecting Credly to Watershed, users can:

They can also use reporting in Watershed to celebrate accomplishments and ensure all parts of the organization use Credly.

“According to a recent report from Pearson, 76% of U.S. workers agree the world is shifting to a model where people participate in learning and education over their lifetime,” said Pat Leonard, VP Strategic Alliances and Partnerships, Pearson Workforce Skills.

“Our partnership with Watershed ensures skills data is accessible and actionable to create greater opportunities for professionals engaged in upskilling efforts and the organizations that employ them.”

Track in-demand skills, celebrate learners’ training accomplishments, and ensure Credly utilization.

Watershed lets users combine their Credly data with HRIS data and any other data sources they may already be using. As a result, users can spot trends across their entire learning ecosystem.

But this integration goes beyond just reporting on Credly data inside Watershed—it allows users to issue credentials based on Watershed’s data.

This bi-directional integration enables users to create sets of rules inside Watershed—and when a learner’s data matches these rules, the credential is automatically awarded.

This process allows for awarding credentials based on very complex criteria from any systems data connected to Watershed rather than just when completing a course from the LMS or LXP.

What does Credly data look like in Watershed?

Watershed’s reusable Credly connector pulls data from Credly and presents it in flexible dashboards and reports. You can report on digital badges and credentials as learners earn them and keep up with the accredited skills in your organization.

You can report on Credly data in Watershed alongside data from all your other learning platforms to see the learning activities that contributed to earning digital credentials.

How does Watershed's integration with Credly work?

Watershed’s Credly connector connects to Credly’s APIs to pull data about credentials and award them. Users can contact their Watershed or Credly account manager to find out how to get started.
